چکیده

This paper concerns the problem of implementation of a multi-segment virtual memory with the number of segments variable in time on a memory consisting of one fixed size segment. The segments can differ in size but the size of each segment is invariable in time. For such a memory the following operations are defined: _ creating a segment of a given size, ~ removing an indicated segment, _ address mapping, i.e., calculating a physical address of a memory cell from its virtual address (a virtual address is a pair: segment address and a local address within the segment). Two groups of implementation methods for such a memory are known [ 1,3,5]: _ contiguous segmentation, paged segmentation. The contiguous segmentation is characterised by a simple address mapping operation but its segment creation requires compacting of busy segments in order to create one big free segment out of several smaller free segments. This may lead to a long segment creation time unacceptable for real time systems. E.g., for a total size of compacted segments equal to 50000 and moving (read and

Investigation of Mechanical Properties of Self Compacting Polymeric Concrete with Backpropagation Network

Acrylic polymer that is highly stable against chemicals and is a good choice when concrete is subject to chemical attack. In this study, self-compacting concrete (SCC) made using acrylic polymer, nanosilica and microsilica has been investigated. The results of experimental testing showed that the addition of microsilica and acrylic polymer decreased the tensile, compressive and bending strength...

Developing a Cost-Effective Approach for Enhancing the Rheological and Mechanical Behavior of High Strength Self-Compacting Concrete

Despite the numerous advantages of using concrete with high strength capacity, the brittle behavior of high strength concrete (HSC) and higher production cost has limited its use in the construction industry. This research aims to develop a cost-effective approach for production of high strength self-compacting concrete with desirable performance in either compressive or tensile loading conditi...

بررسی دقت تشخیصی Limited Screening CT و مقایسه با CT استاندارد در تشخیص سینوزیت

Background and purpose : Çoronal ÇT scan of paranasal sinuses with contiguous images is the gold standard technique in diagnosis of sinusitis. Çonsidering the expense and high dose of radiation in conventional ÇT scan, clinical measurements and simple radiography is not enough sensitive and specific, some workers have suggested limited screening (non contiguous) instead of conventional ÇT ima...

Decoupled Compressed Cache

In multicore processor systems, last-level caches (LLCs) play a crucial role in reducing system energy by i) filtering out expensive accesses to main memory and ii) reducing the time spent executing in high-power states. Cache compression can increase effective cache capacity and reduce misses, improve performance, and potentially reduce system energy. However, previous compressed cache designs...

Strain and Damage Sensing Property of Self-compacting Concrete Reinforced with Carbon Fibers

Present paper investigated the strain and damage sensing property on concrete cubes embedded with carbon fibers. Concrete cubes of dimension 150 mm have been casted with different concentration of carbon fibers to study the strain and damage sensing property under cyclic loading that can be further used for health monitoring as non-destructive testing (NDT) approach. All the specimens were test...
